KOICA Country Director pays a courtesy visit

KOICA Country Director, Ms. Jihee Ahn, paid a courtesy visit to the National Farmers’ Leadership Centre (NFLC) in Kampiringisa, Mpigi District. The visit was led by KOICA Program Manager, Ms. Sugyeong Kang. During the visit, Ms. Jihee Ahn had a meeting with the principal of NFLC, Mr. John Bosco Okwaja, and the Principal of Kampiringisa National Rehabilitation Center, Mrs. Theopista Mutooro.

The visit by Ms. Jihee Ahn signifies KOICA’s commitment to supporting the institutional capacity of NFLC and promoting sustainable agriculture in Uganda. The NFLC Project II, which will run for eight years (2021-2028), aims to improve the administrative and training capacity of NFLC, enabling it to meet the growing demand for training in mindset change, modern agricultural technologies, and community development [2]. The collaboration between the Republic of Korea and the Ugandan government demonstrates their shared vision to uplift agriculture production and empower farmers in the country [3].
