NFLC II Project Capacity Building Program for Farmers in Muyira Parish

The NFLC II Project focuses on three core objectives: infrastructure support, staff capacity building, and demonstration farm improvement. Additionally, the project extends its impact to neighboring communities, particularly in Muyira Parish, by fostering model farmers through the farmer field school approach.

In 2025, the project will support four farmer groups in Muyira Parish under its neighboring support activity.

Farming communities in Muyira Parish face challenges such as poor farming practices, limited knowledge, and inadequate access to modern agricultural techniques. These issues hinder livelihoods and overall community development. By organizing capacity-building programs focused on mindset change and agricultural technologies, the NFLC II Project aims to close the information gap, improve household incomes, and enhance living conditions.

Training Activities

The project will target 111+ farmers across four beneficiary groups in villages such as Muyira, Magejjo, and Bulowa. Training sessions will focus on:

  • Mindset change
  • Agricultural production techniques
  • Crosscutting issues including gender, climate change, and ICT

Farmers will be guided to establish functional farmer field schools, fostering agricultural innovation and community development.
